Seol Gyeong is a Korean paper decoration which was used in traditional Korean shamanic rituals. The mulberry paper was folded and cut in various ways, and it makes a splendor appearance when it is opened. Patterns are usually carved out or cut out of white Korean paper with a knife or scissors, and the shapes of natural objects such as flowers are added. In addition, shapes such as Buddha, locks, and wire mesh, or geometric patterns with symbolic meaning are used.
In this workshop, you will create decorative works based on lotus patterns and you will experience a different field of traditional Korean crafts
